There is a bug tracker here https://github.com/ProtonMail/proton-bridge/issues. While they do say they don't support other clients, they do an ~reasonable job of fixing issues that impact on evolution. I have found that a good way to get traction is to diagnose the bug to a failure of conforming to IMAP expectations; Milan has been very helpful with how to attack this in the past.
