More exactly https://help.gnome.org/users/evolution/stable/data-storage.html.en Thus, if you deleted the folders: $HOME/.local/share/evolution $HOME/.config/evolution $HOME/.cache/evolution you would make evolution forget its data. Of course that would make you LOSE THE EMAILS THAT WERE LOCALLY. In case of doubt, you should never delete the folders, but your move/rename to somwhere else.
