A window size error no longer appears, though opening the email in a new window
still closes the program.

System log message is now:
"The program 'evolution' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 28858 error_code 11 request_code 53 (core protocol)
minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)"

Running Evolution from the command line returns that following error:
"(evolution:3493): Gtk-WARNING **: 12:35:19.827: Failed to register client:
GDBus.Error:org.gnome.SessionManager.AlreadyRegistered: Unable to register
client"

I do not know how to run an environment variable with the executable to create
a backtrace with a particular debugger, which apparently has to be installed.

Double clicking an email is supposed to open a new window with the email.
Instead it closes the program.
An email and it's included image, can be successfully viewed in the Preview
Pane.

Thank you.

PS Is this the correct posting method?
I had to look up "Top Posting"
