Martin, I found that I could hide folders like this:
1. right click account 2. click properties 3. click receiving options 4. check show only subscribed folders, then OK 5. right click account again 6. click manage subscriptions 7. only subscribe to what you want from this window Hopefully, that will solve your problem.
