I have now removed the calendar that appeared automatically when I
added my graham.sivill(at)gmail.com to the "Online Accounts" in Mint's
System Settings and restarted Evo. It does seem to have worked as I
haven't noticed the warning since I did that. Will keep an eye on it
though and report back if it comes back.

As per your comment I agree that I didn't think you could set up 
s...@gmail.com so I do not know why that appeared as one of the
calendars when I added my actual gmail account?? I actually checked my
Google account online to see if that address appeared anywhere in my
account settings but I can't find it so I don't have a clue why it
appeared in Evo?
