Hi,
I'm unsure what your question is. The first paragraph suggests that the
text returned from the external editor either has new lines missing or
they are not visually preserved by the Evolution composer. The second
paragraphs reverses the order, like you want line feeds in Evolution
being shown in the external editor.

Anyway, you said text/html. That has no significant line feeds, unless
the part being used is set to be Preformatted. Otherwise the HTML uses
<br> to mark line endings. Try to select the text in Evolution composer
and set its format to Preformatted.

I do not see any related change to line endings in the external editor
plugin since 3.20.x, except of the port to WebKit2, but that, as such,
also doesn't have anything to do with line endings.
Bye,
Milan

Aha.

Couple hours ago I went back to Linux, found the Avira folder and clicked on
the Delete button and got a message that I needed permission to carry out that
order, with a button to continue which I clicked and it deleted it! Ditto for
the Program Data file for Avira. I then ran the Avira registry cleaner which
seemed to run OK. I then looked at autoruns and found 6 services associated
with Avira and went back to Linux and deleted them and Windows would not start!

The email message in the external editor (line endings are word wrap).

Evolution email is perfectly normal and the tags are all closed correctly. None
of the HTML tags are passed to the external editor. How do I pass the HTML tags
to the external editor?
