Hi,
I guess so, but as your version is more than 6 years old and my memory
is very poor, then it's really just a guess. Easier test, than wait for
an answer for such an old version, especially in this particular thing.
One thing I know though, make sure you'll restart the machine after the
change in the settings, thus all the evolution and the background
processes will notice the change.
Another option would be to run evolution in a virtual machine with more
latest system and more latest evolution, though it misses the nice part
of the integration with the system.
