        Hi,
it's true, some older Evolution versions used to filter only messages
marked as \Recent on the IMAP server. This flag is fully managed by the
IMAP server and is present only to the first client which sees the
message.

Due to the issues with this, and the fact that users access their email
from multiple clients, the IMAP provider had been changed couple
releases back, to filter all messages the Evolution recognizes for the
first time. In other words, the filtering mechanism does not depend on
the \Recent IMAP flag any more.
        Bye,
        Milan
