I suspect, you may be in the same trouble like I am with ubuntu "LTS" - having to cope with an outdated release of evolution.
How can we motivate ubuntu people to provide recent updates? Or can anybody else do that?
Here: askubuntu.com/questions/613679/upgrade-evolution-in-14-04-no-ppa-and-overwhelming-dependancies-to-build some fellows tried - but didn't succeed. This looks like another attempt: askubuntu.com/questions/635033/is-possible-to-upgrade-evolution-mail-client-to-3-16-in-ubuntu-14-04 I'll be happy to do further attempts, but if needed some advice for that. Hello list, Using 3.10.4 on Ubuntu LTS 12.04. Working fine up to a few days ago when trying to access the google contacts address book Evolution is throwing this up: This address book cannot be opened. This either means that an incorrect URI was entered, or the server is unreachable. Detailed error message: Unable to connect to 'Contacts': The requested resource was not found: https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/AuthForInstalledApps I've tried revoking access and re-doing everything but the error persists. Feels like Google have changed something their end... Any pointers?
