What new pop-up window? No window appears for me after you do "save and
close". What does the window say?
> Check the calendar in the rows of the day, but there is no entry.
> And I have never received an error message
Have you tried running Evolution from the command line - you will get
more error messages there than in the GUI.

good idea to start Evolution from the command line.
The result is:
root@name:/home/Name# evolution %U
No protocol specified
** (evolution:16823): WARNING **: Could not open X display
No protocol specified
Unable to init server: Verbindung ist gescheitert:Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt
what now?
