Evolution is supposed to ask you for a new password on its own. Looking
into changes in SMTP code, maybe this bug is related:

By the way, what is the exact error message, please? You know, generic
"it fails" usually doesn't help to identify the issue. If you see the
error in a status bar, then clicking the icon on the left of the message
opens a dialog with detailed error description.
