Well don't do "Reply to All", do "Reply to List" or Ctrl-L - that way your reply will be sent to the mailling list (not "group") and it won't be put in the CC: > > > Instead of "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64" reconsider to switch to > > "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit". This is what everyone else sees - and apologies for the very long post, there's lots of it - I've removed headers specific to my mailers (marked with '|'). ================= Return-path: <evolution-list-boun...@gnome.org> | Delivery-date: Sat, 27 Jul 2013 23:33:16 +0100 | Received: from restaurant.gnome.org (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 159E376FAF; Sat, 27 Jul 2013 22:17:01 +0000 (UTC) X-Original-To: evolution-list@gnome.org Delivered-To: evolution-list@gnome.org Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EEA0B76F8B for <evolution-list@gnome.org>; Sat, 27 Jul 2013 22:16:58 +0000 (UTC) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at gnome.org X-Spam-Flag: NO, No X-Spam-Score: -2.7 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-2.7 tagged_above=-999 required=2 tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, DKIM_SIGNED=0.1, DKIM_VALID=-0.1, DKIM_VALID_AU=-0.1, FREEMAIL_FROM=0.001, RCVD_IN_DNSWL_LOW=-0.7, SPF_PASS=-0.001] autolearn=ham Received: from restaurant.gnome.org ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (restaurant.gnome.org [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id ddqnxxa9qwF6 for <evolution-list@gnome.org>; Sat, 27 Jul 2013 22:16:43 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-wg0-f51.google.com (mail-wg0-f51.google.com [74.125.82.51]) by restaurant.gnome.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 64DF376F8A for <evolution-list@gnome.org>; Sat, 27 Jul 2013 22:16:20 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-wg0-f51.google.com with SMTP id a12so71667wgh.6 for <evolution-list@gnome.org>; Sat, 27 Jul 2013 15:16:19 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=message-id:subject:from:to:cc:date:in-reply-to:references :content-type:x-mailer:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding; bh=cwspJMp2k7kk8u372CAtNrSotWPScVSCStUg9dXGTMQ=; b=guhC4c+FHthiQd5i1wafumoN+9hARx4Pxnrgi4zDaZ1wK6SkAka+DCatXURI8IVg8G Qh7TAs3W/C7Pa9U5Ou3qfXIQY75MDOf7ZcBsSlA1GhsHrlP8F702cm0tLlILns2XMc/O PDi6/h3JPN9ICFZY3aIa1NKuv0TqMIQk8ENiaN67UzxhcL3ZwlgAh78yU3ilh1EXi745 EO/aZnQ/6j5wsEEuCI0TkV3Qgf4xvL2b+qcv6MSq7S+2DNyOtSN+3jotLWi9zGftQlmG jiPoi1BuM6LUZGhlEpDtG3P6AOUHKRqPMYmTs1wZoBFs/UZouI+RMk/3+2foOBnXEcrH W/CQ== X-Received: by 10.194.242.134 with SMTP id wq6mr38041583wjc.94.1374963379114; Sat, 27 Jul 2013 15:16:19 -0700 (PDT) Received: from [192.168.1.71] (99.207.54.77.rev.vodafone.pt. There is still no requirement for MTAs to be 8-bit, so some software will err on the side of caution and Base-64 encode messages that aren't 7-bit clean. Yes, I know that virtually everywhere will be using modern MTAs that can cope with 8-bit, but you never know, someone somewhere might still be using uucp to get their messages into evolution...
