I have never backed up evolution before during an upgrade and did not this time. Things worked for fedora 8 -> 12 and from 12 -> 16. BUT not for 16 -> 18
It is over an 8 hour project to rebuild 16, do a evolution backup, rebuild 18 and restore. I am hoping there is something I can do to get over this hurdle. Two interesting side lights I upgraded to 18 to solve an evolution bug (it died for one mail group of users) Since evolution is NOT configured, clicking on the mail selection for this in a firefox window hung the whole machine windowing system. I had to hand copy the address to here to use. And NO this is not my primary mailing place - evolution is but I can't get there now or I will lose everything I had. (folders, config ....) I have hand restored all the DOT files to where they were - all to no avail. When evolution comes up, it wants me to configure everything again. I hope someone knows how to fix this.
