Hi, check your proxy settings in Edit->Preferences->Network Preferences. If you use the Gnome Online mail Account automatically configured in Evolution, then I guess it should go through the proxy too, as long as your GOA requires it. The 3.2.x is also reading proxy settings from your system preferences, but you cannot influence it for the SOCKS connections, it had been fixed later [1].
