You are right. Searching over a whole or all accounts is unreliable. That's my experience with version 2.28. The remedy for me is to organize my mail in an efficient manner, so that I don't need to search over all accounts. Plus, my experience with search folders has been good of late, as long as you don't use it on special folders like 'INBOX', 'SENT'. But, I don't expect it to be a silver-bullet-tool, i.e. if a search brings up the result I expected or is useful, what do I care if the software is perfect?
