Due to a steady increase in crashes (Ubuntu 10.04/ Evo 2.28.3) I decided to look at options. Moving to Ubuntu (10.10) will give me Evo 2.30.?, but for other reasons, I won't be doing that soon. So, I decided to compile, at least then I can always get the latest and can learn a thing or two.
Will someone tell me what to install from the Ubuntu repo to satisfy the following, output of ./configure. > checking for GNOME_PLATFORM... configure: error: Package requirements > (gio-2.0 >= 2.25.12 > gtk+-2.0 >= 2.20.0 > gail >= 1.9.0 > gconf-2.0 >= 2.0.0 > libxml-2.0 >= 2.7.3 > pangoft2 >= 1.0.1 > shared-mime-info >= 0.22 > gnome-desktop-2.0 >= 2.26.0 > unique-1.0 >= 1.1.2) were not met: > > Requested 'gio-2.0 >= 2.25.12' but version of GIO is 2.24.1 Any other useful tips for a beginner compiler in this environment will be welcome. Thx
