I'm almost certain you can also delete the .cmeta and .index.* files and
Evo will rebuild them. Take a backup just in case.

You can also rebuild the SQL indices as follows:

$ cat ~/bin/Vacuum
#!/bin/sh

cd ~/.evolution/mail/
for i in `find . -name folders.db`
        do
        echo "Rebuilding Table $i"
        sqlite3 $i "vacuum;"
done

Again, any of this should always be done with Evo shut down.
