I don't know of any such plugin, though the feature has been requested
before: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=246514

However it is possible to set up virtual folders to track mail to/from
specific correspondents. I use it for a small number of people I mail
frequently, but the setup is too much effort to be used on a large scale.
Several years ago I suggested that it would be interesting for Evo to
support easier ways to do this, i.e. to support a "conversation" model like
Gmail, but nothing ever came of it and I can't find the BZ report at the
moment.
