We do have a plugin for dealing with "application/ms-tnef" attachments. The plugin is tagged as experimental though. I have no idea how well it works, and not all distros ship our experimental plugins. There's already a pending request to promote the plugin to our standard set [1], so if someone wouldn't mind testing it out on some winmail.dat attachments (or whatever MS is calling them these days) out there in the wild and verify that Evolution can read them, I can promote the plugin for Evolution 2.30.
