I think I have the same "bug".  Editing the original message seems
somewhat gubbered if the original messages was multi-part (both text &
HTML - I never bother trying to reply to an HTML only message).  Even
though I am replying in text-only the HTML part still seems to screw up
the formatting of the message.  I usually see this as lines of the
message I simply cannot delete by backspace, delete, highlight-delete,
anything.
