Hi folks, I have a problem with Evolution inviting people for a meeting by e-mail. First of all, here is some information about my sytem.
OS: Ubuntu (Hardy Heron) Evolution 2.22.1, installed from the official Ubuntu repository My problem is, that people who are invited by me, don't get a proper invitation E-Mail like they are used to. Normally the invitees should see my invitation e-mail with check boxes in their client, which they can use to Accept, Decline my invitation. This is how it works for example with Outlook. Unfortunately my invitation e-mails do arrive in plain text without any functionality in them. Especially Outlook users are complaining about my invitations. :-/ (Outlook 2003 SP3) An according e-mail looks like that: # Message Body # ====================================================================== Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from mymailserver.de ([unix socket]) by myname.de (Cyrus v2.2.13-Debian-2.2.13-10) with LMTPA; Tue, 06 May 2008 15:14:48 +0200 X-Sieve: CMU Sieve 2.2 Received: from [10.0.2.15] (unknown [78.110.224.68]) by mymailserver.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 059891019754C for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 6 May 2008 15:14:48 +0200 (CEST) Subject: myname From: company <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Content-Type: text/calendar; name=calendar.ics; charset=utf-8; METHOD=REQUEST Date: Tue, 06 May 2008 15:14:48 +0200 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Evolution 2.22.1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit BEGIN:VCALENDAR CALSCALE:GREGORIAN PRODID:-//Ximian//NONSGML Evolution Calendar//EN VERSION:2.0 METHOD:REQUEST BEGIN:VTIMEZONE TZID:/softwarestudio.org/Tzfile/Europe/Berlin X-LIC-LOCATION:Europe/Berlin BEGIN:STANDARD TZNAME:CET DTSTART:19701026T020000 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;INTERVAL=1;BYDAY=-2SU;BYMONTH=10 TZOFFSETFROM:+0200 TZOFFSETTO:+0100 END:STANDARD BEGIN:DAYLIGHT TZNAME:CEST DTSTART:19700329T030000 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;INTERVAL=1;BYDAY=-1SU;BYMONTH=3 TZOFFSETFROM:+0100 TZOFFSETTO:+0200 END:DAYLIGHT END:VTIMEZONE BEGIN:VEVENT UID:[EMAIL PROTECTED] DTSTAMP:20080506T131448Z DTSTART;TZID=/softwarestudio.org/Tzfile/Europe/Berlin:20080507T180000 DTEND;TZID=/softwarestudio.org/Tzfile/Europe/Berlin:20080507T183000 TRANSP:OPAQUE SEQUENCE:2 SUMMARY:myname CLASS:PUBLIC ORGANIZER;CN=company:MAILTO:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ATTENDEE;CUTYPE=INDIVIDUAL;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;PARTSTAT=ACCEPTED; RSVP=TRUE;CN=company;LANGUAGE=en:MAILTO:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ATTENDEE;CUTYPE=INDIVIDUAL;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;PARTSTAT=NEEDS-ACTION; RSVP=TRUE;LANGUAGE=en:MAILTO:[EMAIL PROTECTED] END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR # ====================================================================== I investigated it a bit deeper and figured out that the same problem occurs when I am using Ubuntu Gutsy with Evolution 2.12.1. Funnily enough it works with Evolution 2.6.1 in Ubuntu Dapper Drake. Does anyone have a clue what the problem is?
