I have had email messages from Outlook users disappear as well. Not only in Evolution but when being exported. I found out through some testing that the messages are not actually gone but show up as part of a different message. May not be your problem but could be related. It would be interesting if you trace the issue to something similar. Something to check for. Reply messages only to the list.
