I don't think you'll have much luck here. Evolution is heavily dependent on the base Gnome system, and newer versions of Evolution rely on newer versions of Gnome. I even had problems building 2.12, which is Gnome 2.22 based, on my Ubuntu Feisty system, released in April of 2007 and using Gnome 2.18. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 was released in 2003 and I believe ships with Gnome 2.8 (!). The ONLY way you'll ever get the latest Evolution to run on that system is by replacing the entirety of Gnome. Even doing that may be difficult on a system that old, because new versions of Gnome rely on various system facilities like DBUS that might not be available for systems that old. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul D.
