Please do open a Bugzilla feature request so I can track it. If you could also submit some mockups of what you're after, be it a scanned napkin scribble or something drawn in Gimp or whatever, that would be very helpful. Obviously I can't guarantee time frame for this -- the contacts integration itself sounds like it could be a Google Summer of Code project -- but I'll see what I can do.
