looks like https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=222479 (mentioned by veerapuram) is the same as http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383861 which was filed a few weeks later. i really wonder if novell has a bugmaster who reports gnome bugs upstream to b.g.o, like the most common other distros do have?
