It's usually easier to use the debian sources as a basis for compiling
your own packages. If experimental (including sources) is in your
/etc/apt/sources.conf, it should be possible to do apt-get source
evolution-data-server/experimental and build the package with
dpkg-buildpackage -b -rfakeroot, by directly calling debian/rules, or
by glancing at debian/rules before calling the commands manually. You
can see the build dependencies in debian/control. Maybe you know this
option and still prefer building manually on debian/stable. Then
you're left with installing packages manually, and/or compiling
manually which can be tricky to keep track of after a while.
