Okay, I selected it as Europe/Copenhagen - and it was selected by
default before even choosing it - I assume evolution gets it from my
Gnome default settings.

The timezone then changes when I synchronize with the SunONE calendar.

I just noticed: So do my appointments, actually, they also change to
have the timezone for New York. However, they adjust the time
accordingly, so an appointment that I set to be at 2PM in the timezone
for Europe/Copenhagen becomes an appointment for 8AM in New York.

Thanks for your help. If there's anything I can do to help you debug, or
even try to track down and patch the bug, let me know.

Best
