Evo and Mozilla do use the same local *mail* structure. This does not
apply to Address Books. [1]
Since you imported that old file into Mozilla: Export it again, using
ldif format. Evo can import that.

[1] Where did you read that? If it claims sharing the same format WRT
Address Books, it is plain wrong and needs to be corrected.
