I've got a gmail account that I'm trying to send to using evolution.

platform:

Linux linux 2.4.21-297-athlon #1 Sat Jul 23 07:59:02 UTC 2005 i686
athlon i386 GNU/Linux (suse 9.0)

Evolution details: (version 1.4.4)

When I set up evolution to talk to the snmp server, I enter:
sending mail:

Server configuration: smtp.gmail.com

(server requires authentication checked)

Authentication:

        Plain

User name: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

So, when I try this, I get the error message:

(authentication required)

I think it's trying to authenticate the user:

        [EMAIL PROTECTED]

at host:

        smtp.gmail.com

If I leave the @gmail.com off, then it tries to authenticate me as:

        [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Is there a "right" setting here?

Thanks,

bart.
