Hi Andre', I had some other problems with some other systems concurrently to the local Evo problem; all installed on OSS 10.0 that I downloaded (correctly re. md5sums) from opensuse.org. Out of desperation I went and bought the original Novell "SUSE Linux 10.0" for €59,99 and installed it on my other systems. Suddenly a few other problems were cleared!
I the "UNCONDITIONALLY Updated" and straight away afterwards did a YOU update of my local WorkStation with this Evo problem, and wonder by wonder ... Problem SOLVED. There were 4 systems involved, each with it's own odd problem; one with Evo, another with OpenVPN, Java, FireFox, RealPlayer 10, ... I advise all to rather buy Novell's "SUSE Linux 10.0" in stead of struggeling with the OSS10.0 as I have the last 3 weeks. It is not worth saving the bucks! It pays to support Novell's efforts to keep SUSE going. What could be the difference between OSS 10.0 and Novell's "SUSE Linux 10.0"?
