Actually this is an Evo bug, it's happening right now. Pushing down arrow for next message takes ~2 seconds, clicking the next message takes less than 1 second. My machine is a Via EPIA M6000, it's only 600Mhz (should be PLENTY fast to read email). How much more detail do you want? The folder has thousands and thousands of messages (it's my linux-kernel folder). Right now about 100 of those are unread. I'm using Evolution 2.4.0 on a Ubuntu Breezy system. I guess the next step is to get a kernel profile and find out where it's wasting all those extra cycles when navigating with the keyboard.
