it's physical counterpart is; in fact when physical theories predict
infinities that's usually a sign that they're breaking down. Classical
electrodynamics worked fine until things got really really small, because
it predicted that atoms would radiate an infinite amount of radiation, and
obviously that didn't happen, that's why quantum mechanics was invented. *
