If the universe is all that it is, then how can it be spinning? What
is it spinning relative to? Cf Mach's principle.
Mach's principle is already violated by gyroscopes. There is no delay as
the angular momentum interacts with distant masses. In GR rotation and
acceleration are absolute; something that Einstein found disappointing
since he admired Mach and hoped to verify his ideas.
