In one of my news feeds (that's free) I found this article about Tesla/Musk -

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tesla-chair-denies-board-explored-replacing-ceo-elon-musk-155250835.html

/Early Thursday morning, Tesla (TSLA <https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA>) chair Robyn Denholm denied a stunning report from theWall Street Journal <https://www.wsj.com/business/autos/tesla-musk-ceo-search-board-0ce61af9?mod=hp_lead_pos1>saying thatTesla’s board of directors <https://ir.tesla.com/corporate>was looking for CEO Elon Musk’s replacement./

/“Earlier today, there was a media report erroneously claiming that the Tesla Board had contacted recruitment firms to initiate a CEO search at the company,” Denholm wrote in a post published by Tesla’s X.com account. “This is absolutely false … The CEO of Tesla is Elon Musk and the Board is highly confident in his ability to continue executing on the exciting growth plan ahead.”/

/The Journal reported Tesla’s board of directors was in the initial stages of a formal process to find the EV maker’s next CEO. The board, according to the Journal, also told Musk he needed to spend more time back at the company and needed to let Tesla investors and the public know he was returning./

So, believe what you want to, but without Tesla/Musk we'd still be talking about the EV1 and how great a car it could have been if GM hadn't crushed it in favor of big oil.

I don't have a WSJ subscription, so I haven't read the original article.

It might be worth noting that the Reuters article says "members of Tesla's
board," not "Tesla's board." That could mean that as few 2 members were
involved, I guess.

Tesla has experienced significant YOY declines in sales, net income, and
profit margins.

However, despite the fact that Tesla's stock price is down about 30% since
the beginning of the year, it's up about 54% since last year.
