with my 2012, I use a windshield deforster form like harbor fright, $13
that plugs in the cigerete ligher and put it on the center cup holder
and point it at my legs , not heat, but way less draw . good for
warming hands.
when i'm sitting watching the sencery I put a blacket over the steering
wheel to form a tent with the little heater .
also found out theres a vent sending heat to the back set area so I
plugged that up.
When I want to see what being drawn, I turn to the amps screen. I turn
on the heat can see the heat and see the KW going up to 3.5 then slowly
coming down as the water heats up. i keep temp to 62 and fan to 1, 2
the power draw goes down to less than 1 kw in about 3 minutes.
I use this method to run defroster .
I've also plugged up the vents on the passenger side to send more heat
to driver.
someone had a some kind of fix using a resiter some where.
I miss the heat of a gasser but don't want to throw away my $ on machine
that makes 75% waste heat.!!
