Exxon publishes an annual review of the World's Energy situation: View to 2050.

Of which there is an energy supply section:

The first two graphs depict the Global oil Projected Supply and Demand
which is essentially flat from around 2028 to 2050. What is not shown
is that this includes Natural Gas Liquids such as wax, butane, etc.
which can't be made into transportation fuels.

There is also a Natural gas projected supply and demand graph
depicting the peak of natural gas supply around 2050.

Both have an area under their curves entitled: New resources and
projects needed. That means they are NOT there but may be there.

What is significant is the supply with no investment curve.

The elected Idiot In Command wants to "Drill Baby Drill" and Exxon is
saving that "okay...., but where and with what funds???"

Meanwhile, Mr. Musk wants to drop the $7.5K tax rebate and kill the competition.

This all makes sense in a dystopian way. Not what is best for the
country but what is best for "me".
