I suspect that most people are more comfortable maneuvering their car between two other cars (with only 6-20" on each side) nose in.

When you back out of a parking space, there is a LOT of room behind your car, without things on either side (usually).

To me, Parking is just a subsystem of driving, with a "long tail", so you
have to think ahead.

About the only tie I don't back into a space is if I can pull through.
