I've read a lot of articles over the last 6 months - even on alleged EV-
promoting websites - that follow the bogus media line that somehow, because
some quarters EV sales don't grow as fast as they did a while back, EV's
must be "failing," and the automakers are giving up.

It's nice to see a more positive take from Forbes, of all publications.

What we're still *not* getting is an honest look at what EVs are up against -
 and growing in spite of.

=> MONEY. Though the gap seems to be shrinking, most EVs still cost more
than their ICEV equivalents.

=> MONEY. US tax credits now cover fewer EVs. They'll probably end entirely
in 2025.

=> MONEY. In Europe, 2024 first half EV sales were down 9% in Germany but up
8% in France. Guess which nation dropped its EV incentives.

=> THOUGHTLESS PR. Tesla sales are off partly because of the "Musk Effect,"
caused by a CEO who can't or won't control his obnoxious yapper. (And given
the opinions of people who traditionally buy EVs, that's probably going to
get worse now that Musk has very publicly, very loudly endorsed Donald Trump
for president AND pledged 45 MILLION bucks a month to a Trump PAC.)

And yet, overall, EV sales continue to grow.

Though you'd hardly know it to read all the negative articles and the
reports of Ford and GM cancelling and scaling back EV projects.

So thanks to Forbes, and thanks to Phil for posting the link.

What has allowed so many psychopathic personalities to rise
so high in corporations, and now in government, is that they
are so decisive. Unlike normal people, they are never filled
with doubts, for the simple reason that they cannot care what
     happens next.
