Hi Folks I’ve been going to the Pikes Peak Hill Climb since 1979 and since 2018 EVs have set the records since they don’t care about 1/2 air at 14,115 feet. Today (102nd year running) was no exception. Romain Dumas did 8min 53sec, 18th driver, fastest today but not near his worlds record 7:57 in the 2018 IDR. There were 4 other EVs that raced order 1,2,3,4 ionic 5, Rivian R1t, Ionic5, Ionic5 - none setting records. Driver info on Hill climb website, final times as they occur. Ppihc.org. Remain’s controller dropped out and restarted around Engineers corner that cost him 15-30seconds.
