It's not impossible, those are your words. Difficult, yes because of the
unreliable non-Tesla network, and not just because you are forced to own
a cell phone. Why do you think Ford just signed up for the Tesla
charging system?

We unwashed masses still have to use a mobile phone to find a charging point
when we're on the road. I suppose that it's less convenient than having the
car's navigation system offer it, but I certainly wouldn't call it
impossible.
