Once you road trip in a Tesla, you won't ever consider another brand, at
least until the US gets it charging in place (5+ years). Tesla
superchargers are so fast, ubiquitous and quick, and the others are of
questionable reliability, and not always where you need them. We are
thinking of a second EV to our Model Y, and we won't consider another
brand. Especially when you can buy a superior used Tesla for less than a
new whatever other brand.
There are lots of other benefits of Tesla, like big batterys, but that
is a huge benefit for roadies.

Wow! You must really like your Tesla. For $22,000 you can almost buy an
entire other-make brand new EV with zero miles on it. Heck, if you wre in
the EU you could get one for less than $22k, but it wouldn't have the range
you're used to.
And I'd just about bet that $22k would get you a pretty nice lightly-used
much newer EV of a different brand.
