A good used GE Elec-trak (ET) of nearly any model (ER8-36 rider, E8, E10, E15, E20 tractors). They do have some quirks, but with reasonable care, they run practically forever. I recommend upgrading the old resistive controller to a modern transistor one, but a lot of owners don't and are OK with it. There's an ET discussion list.
