And if you've been following Tesla news, up until recently Tesla was battery constrained. They were using all the batteries they could get or build. The only thing a cheaper Tesla would have done during that time would be to reduce profit - which they've been plowing back into making more batteries. Now that they are getting enough batteries, a cheaper Tesla is far more likely - and they've been discussing it again.
