You may think it’s illegal, and I may think it’s illegal, but what Tesla does is reach into the cars internal config file and turn off not only supercharging, but also DC fast charging which works with the ChaDeMo adaptor. It seems things are only illegal if you can afford to litigate against them. The solution has been to find a hacker that can get in there and turn the config back on. It’s just a couple lines in the hidden internal.dat file in the gateway. If you do get logged in, just imagine it’s there and it will show up. I managed that in 2013 for my S, but the SSH keys have changed since then and I don’t have access anymore.
