This seems to be mostly political posturing since Lebanon doesn't have an extradition treaty with France. A high-stakes political battle is playing out in France right now, with the future of Europe hanging in the balance.
I can't condone corruption, and even if the charges aren't fully accurate (without a fair trial, who really knows for sure), Ghosn was no angel. He revived fortunes at Nissan and Renault mostly on the backs of laid-off workers. IMO, however, if not for Ghosn, the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe wouldn't have been introduced when they were (2011/2012), if ever.
