Sorry, I don't know. Why not try an experiment with a laptop? Laptop batteries have built in BMSes, which usually track the Wh into and out of the battery, passing that info on to the OS. They're easily chilled in the freezer. The experiment is probably better done with a machine that has a flash drive rather than spinning platters.
