A FB post from Russian energy company Rosseti has announced that electric
vehicle charging stations in Russia have stopped working. The Ukrainian
company that provided controllers for the stations has apparently connected
to a "back door" in the controllers and adjusted the firmware. The kiosks
no longer charge EVs, and their screens display a rotating series of
messages, such as "Glory to Ukraine," "Glory to the heroes," "Putin is a
d***head," "Death to the enemy," and "Call service - no plugs available."

Who knew that at least some charging points have exploitable back doors?

The rest of the linked article is more sobering, but off topic for this
list.
