In addition to motors, motor controllers, and batteries, tires are part of the efficiency chain, both in acceleration and deceleration (regen braking). I anecdotally heard once that tires can be as low as 75% efficient. I don't have a good source for that tire efficiency number, so if someone has a knowledgeable source for actual tire efficiency, that would be great to know.
