First how much do you weigh(don't have to say just take that into
consideration) I weigh 240. I have to come up a substantial hill to get home.
The Valance batteries only put out 30 amps continuous. The eGO battery meter
is flashing on the two lowest bars all the way up my hill. The eGO can draw
180 amps in burst mode. I have been getting away riding this bike for months
now and the batteries seem no worse for wear. The Valance 40ah batteries are
slightly bigger than standard lead in your eGO so padding on one side of the
battery box and the bottom padding must come out. I simply purchased two used
batteries. Installed them and no longer worry about servicing lead batteries.
It was a simple drop in conversion. The original charger still functions and
the light turns green and end of charge. I have left the bike uncharged for
weeks and it performs like a champ. You could do this with cheaper batteries
new but the Valance are cheap compared to buying new and have BMS compatible
with the original charger. Original price of one Valance 40ah battery is
$1,200. The one weakness is not being able to put out large amounts of amps
but that may be an advantage for range on level ground. Lawrence

Hi Lawrence,
I saw your add and wanted ask you about the battery conversion you did. I'm
not in the market for another EGO as I already own one but I was looking at to
switch to LI batteries so just curious how you went about it. Was it really
$2K to make the switch? That's almost as much as a new bike! In any case, just
looking to see how you went about it. Thanks, Gabe
