Not too expensive will never have to crank. What could go wrong? Designed as a
drop in replacement for lead acid.  Lawrence Rhodes

Give it a try and report back. I did not see a capacity rating on the Amazon page. If it turns out you need bigger, two or more in parallel small LFPs should solve the problem.

I've often wondered why EV makers, especially Tesla, have failed to adopt lithium 12v batteries. My 2013 S went through four lead batteries, each lasting less than a year. When the car went out of warranty, I got one of the LFPs that were being made with the right size case for Teslas. Amusingly, Tesla refused to install. The LFP has been in for about three years with no trouble. The LFP was over priced, about 30ah for $400. But the right form factor was the deciding attribute.

I believe I referred you to Valence LFPs. I recently discovered that Valence has been reincarnated as LithiumWerks and are selling the old Valence products newly manufactured. They had a display at the Austin Fully Charged event, mentioned in my blog. LithiumWerks also seems to have no interest in selling small quantities. I did not check prices but was left with the impression that they remained very high. The used or old stock Valences on the market have proven to be good values.

I imagine your motorcycle LFP might be only 5-10 ah. I don't know what trouble you might encounter with a too small LFP. I believe Teslas have 30-40 ah leads. Even without the need to crank, I would think you would want at least 1kw of power for a minute or two.

Back in my racing days, I remember we used to replace approximate size 24 lead batteries with much smaller lawn tractor batteries. The small batteries served well to crank high compression ~2L engines a few times. If an engine failed to start promptly in the pits, it was a simple matter to jump with a larger battery.
